Be Aware of Your Feelings

By: Dr. Gaby Cora

Sometimes, it is easier to delude ourselves into thinking that we must feel a certain way about the tasks we must do every day and the people we interact with: we feel that we should adjust our feelings to match whatever expectation we feel is imposed on us from the outside. However, it is more important to be aware of what your true feelings are and adjust your lifestyle to fit these feelings. Choosing a career that you are passionate about, for example, instead of choosing a career you think you should be passionate about but actually find boring, will be a roadblock to your road to success. Be aware of your feelings and express your best self to yourself and to the world in order to live a healthier, happier life.

Bring Your Best Self to the World

By: Dr. Gaby Cora

Today’s tip of the week is to bring your best self to the world. Oftentimes people who are on their road to health and wellbeing wish to share their good fortune with the world. With a better self esteem and a strong desire to do well, of course we wish to include our family and friends in our good feelings by bringing our best selves out. However, sometimes we are unable to do this when we surround ourselves with toxic situations, relationships, and opportunities. Make sure that you do not allow yourself to be trapped by toxicity when you are on your road to wellbeing.

By: Dr. Gaby Cora

Part of the difficulty with pleasing everybody is: it is impossible to please everyone. When you are concentrating on your path to wellbeing, it would be easy and distracting to focus on what everyone else is concerned over. Focus on yourself and your path to wellness and wellbeing in order to reach your goals.

Choose to Live a Healthy Life for Your Own Sake

By: Dr. Gaby Cora

Choosing to live a healthier life is a great first step on your path to wellbeing. It’s especially tempting to start implementing changes and adjusting your life when you have the encouragement or the desire to please the people around you. But who are you making this change for? If you choose to live a healthy life for your own sake, you’re going to be far more successful than if you attribute your successes and failures to the people around you.

A Kiss a Day

By: Dr. Gaby Cora

When you are on your path to wellbeing, there are a number of steps you must take at different points in your journey. Let’s say that you are undertaking a change in diet, for example, and part of that diet requires you to restrict food in the beginning. After a while, however, it may be better for you to introduce just a little of the things that you love and miss back into your diet, but in a way that you can control yourself and enjoy it too. This week’s Tip of the Week addresses this issue through the idea of: A Kiss a Day.

Focus on the Present

By: Dr. Gaby Cora

Oftentimes, it is tempting to become excited about your change in lifestyle and your Path to Wellness and Wellbeing, and speak only about what you plan to do in the future: next week, I will start my new diet. Next week, I will go to my local gym and get a membership. Next week, I will work on meditation and relaxation techniques so I can learn to manage my stress better. While these goals and plans are excellent, speaking about them as happening in the future doesn’t give them the power you may need to get things started now. This week’s tip is to Focus on the Present and to speak about your changes in the present tense. There is something powerful about making your journey something that is already happening.
