Focus on the Present

Oftentimes, it is tempting to become excited about your change in lifestyle and your Path to Wellness and Wellbeing, and speak only about what you plan to do in the future: next week, I will start my new diet. Next week, I will go to my local gym and get a membership. Next week, I will work on meditation and relaxation techniques so I can learn to manage my stress better. While these goals and plans are excellent, speaking about them as happening in the future doesn’t give them the power you may need to get things started now. This week’s tip is to Focus on the Present and to speak about your changes in the present tense. There is something powerful about making your journey something that is already happening.
